Forty-two cathedrals

Forty-Two days. One unforgettable challenge. And it will return.

Previous Cathedrals Cycle Route challenges have been a remarkable achievement: meaningful, ambitious, and unifying. They brought people together across communities and distances, creating something far greater than the sum of the miles ridden.

England’s cathedrals are preparing to unite once again to take on the full 2,000-mile Cathedrals Cycle Route, travelling from cathedral to cathedral over 42 unforgettable days. When the challenge returns, it will carry more than the iconic bronze baton. It will bring together hundreds of riders, the shared spirit of helping and being helped, and vital fundraising for charities across the country.

From short local rides to full cathedral-to-cathedral stages, or even the entire journey, cyclists can join the baton for as little or as long as they choose. Open to all abilities, the challenge offers a serious test for experienced riders and an inspiring, once-in-a-lifetime adventure for those new to long-distance cycling.

The journey will return.

The question is simply: will you be part of it when it does?

Use the Cathedrals Cycle Route to raise funds and awareness for a cause close to your heart.

The Cathedrals Cycle Route combines personal achievement, community engagement and meaningful storytelling, making it an ideal platform to inspire sponsors, involve local supporters, and shine a spotlight on the difference your chosen cause makes every day.
