The good,
the bad &
the muddy…

share your chapter of the story.

The Cathedrals Cycle Route is a journey shaped by the people who ride it. Every cyclist has their own motivation, experiences and adventures and, as they travel, they add a chapter to something bigger.

Below you'll meet some members of the Cathedrals Cycle Route community and read the unfiltered truth from riders who've been there: the sublime climbs, the wrong turns, the unexpected kindnesses, the personal discoveries and yes, the mud. The only thing missing is you: when you're ready, join the community on our Facebook and Strava pages to add your voice and make sure your story becomes part of the route.

Travellers’ Tales

Great rides think alike!

If the Cathedrals Cycle Route has given you a taste for riding with history and purpose, you may enjoy meeting more like-minded travellers on the Queen Eleanor Cycle Ride, which takes you on one of England's most historically resonant journeys: the 200-mile funeral route of Queen Eleanor of Castile, from Lincolnshire to London. It traces the path her cortège took in 1290 and connects the twelve memorial crosses that King Edward I erected in her memory along the way. A fascinating piece of history to ride through, and well worth exploring.

There are regular, organised fundraising events along the route, raising money for people leaving homelessness behind in London - check their website for what's coming up.
